Worked for 6 Years as Veterinary Asst. Surgeon in the Animal Husbandry Department of Tamil Nadu Government, from 1973 to 1979.
Worked as Technical Officer (Animal husbandry) in State Bank of India for 29 Years, Worked in branches and controlling offices and discharged the functions of Technical officer formulating livestock and fisheries schemes.
Worked as Faculty Member at state Bank Institute of Rural Dev, Hyderabad for 8 Years from 1993- 2000, teaching & training State Bank Officers in the field of livestock and fisheries schemes.
Currently working as a guest Faculty for MANAGE AND OTHER GOVT / Bank Training Centers
Published a book titled “A Guide to Banks Finance in Poverty Alleviation Programmes” which was given a foreword by Mr.V.P.Singh Finance Minister and Later Prime Minister of India.
Published a booklet on Self Help Groups titled “Rise above Poverty – March to Future with Confidence with a helping hand from State Bank of India".
Published a Tamil book on “Livestock Schemes Suitable for entrepreneurs”, which was awarded 1st prize under Technical category by Tamil Nadu Government (India) in 1994; Updated version published in 2023 by NCBH.
Published 14 booklets and numerous articles on Dairy, Poultry and Fisheries in Tamil and English.
Published more than 50 articles on agri & livestock business, through various newspapers, magazines and journals.
Published a booklet on “ A manual for Mobile based Life Long Learning for Farmers on Goat Rearing and Milch Animals” for distribution among SHG members of Vidiyal NGO, Theni District, Tamil Nadu.
Conceived and executed seaweed culture project in collaboration with PEPSICO, Tamil Nadu Government & NGO’s which is a post Tsunami rehabilitation Programme. Now the Project is included in the union / State Government Schemes.
Initiated and executed L3 Farmers project in Theni district of Tamil Nadu in association with Common wealth of Learning Canada through Open distance learning using ICT.
Conducted impact study on Goat Rearing implemented in Theni District by Common wealth of Learning (COL), Canada, through L3 farmers project.
Developed contents on financial inclusion for the Self Help Group members, Theni District, Tamil Nadu, India which is being transmitted through mobile phones as voice mail messages.
The author can prepare DPR's on Dairy farming, Poultry farming, Sheep & Goat Rearing, Piggery, Inland fish culture, Coastal Aquaculture.
